Legacy

Dr. D. Ramanaidu
With an envious track record built over four and a half decades, Ramanaidu Studios is reckoned as one of the most productive organizations in the Indian Film Industry. It is not surprising that its founder and principal visionary, Dr. Ramanaidu is thereby the proud holder of the Guinness Book of World Records as the producer of largest number of films. The key to his success is manifold. Infusing a sense of organization and structure into the production process, he provided a firm financial discipline and a strong business ethics to his company. To create a fair opportunity for his films, he developed his own distribution network. Thinking out of the box, he always encouraged ever new talent. As a studio head his policy is simple: “Come with a script and go back with a print.” For many writers, directors, actors and technicians, in the Telugu Film Industry today, Suresh Productions is thus a launchpad.
Vision

D. Suresh Babu
Mr. Suresh Babu is a graduate in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. As the C.E.O of Suresh Productions, he is in charge of all operations relating to production, distribution, exhibition and infrastructure over the last two decades. Owing to his constant efforts to take the company forward, one more studio has been declared open recently in an idyllic locale in Vizag. Another significant aspect of his contribution is the success rate he has been able to ensure for the films produced under his banner. Nevertheless, highly skeptical about any kind of formulaic approach, he is more than aware that the Telugu Film Industry is lagging behind in terms of technical standards. He firmly believes that the existing standards of production can be raised only by a steady stream of formally trained creative and technical personnel who have an all-round understanding of the filmmaking process by way of institutional and hands-on experience in the field. Today, a whole range of new media from mobile phone to I-Pod to webcast have taken filmmaking beyond the existing realm of cinema and television. It is this vision of his to make filmmaking consonant with the age of convergence that has made the Ramanaidu Film School, a living reality, opening the doors to all aspiring filmmakers of the present and the future.
